Note that Accordance finds two sites named Rabbah (or Rabbath). Which of these is the Rabbah being talked about in 2 Samuel 11? You can double-click Rabbah on the map to learn more (see Fig. 7.04). In my setup, I have a special geographical dictionary called the Bible Lands PhotoGuide set to appear when I double-click place names on the map. This resource tells me that one Rabbah was the capital of the Ammonite nation, located at what is now the modern Jordanian capital of Amman. Photos of ancient ruins illustrate how formidable it would have been to try to take this city. The PhotoGuide also tells me that the second Rabbah was a minor town in the tribal territory of Judah.
